2010 ANNUAL FUND DRIVE
The Ashland Schools Foundation is dedicated to supporting a full and enriching education for the students in our public schools. For twenty years we have been raising money in our community to support programs across the curriculum through our various grant programs.

The 2010 annual fund drive will officially kick off on
Friday, April 2nd. We will be hosting pre-kickoff house parties for our major donors and other interested community members. Contact us if you are interested in attending a house party.
We need LOTS of volunteers to make the annual fund drive a success! Go to our 2010 annual fund drive page, read about the opportunities, then sign up for the jobs you might be interested in on our new online Volunteer Sign-up form! Someone will contact you about your volunteer interests and get you signed up for your preferences.

Donating early is great for everyone! It saves ASF the cost of mailing you a solicitation, it saves on volunteer time (one less phone call!), and it saves you having to answer the phone during our April phone drive! You’ll feel great, when those ASF lawn signs start popping up all over town, to know that you’ve already done your part! Just click on the “Donate” button and give today!

ASF MEMORIAL FUNDS
While death is a part of life, it’s always more difficult when we lose young people before they’ve had a chance to live out their lives. One way to help is through honoring and remembering those we’ve lost through memorial funds. Two such memorial funds have been set up recently at the Ashland Schools Foundation. Both of these funds will benefit the Ashland schools.
The Ethan Townsend Memorial Fund - Ethan Townsend, a 2003 Ashland High School graduate who was killed recently in a hiking accident in China, was regarded by friends as compassionate and brilliant.The Ethan Townsend Memorial Fund at the Ashland Schools Foundation has been established to support the Student Tutoring Center at Ashland High School as tutoring other students was a passion of Ethan’s.

The Kipp Crawford Memorial Fund - Kipp Crawford, a native Ashlander and a 1996 graduate of Ashland High School, was killed at the age of 31 as a result of a tragic accident in Portland, Oregon. Kipp was a skilled drummer who followed that passion into a professional life of music and studio recording. The Kipp Crawford Memorial Fund will be used to create enriching opportunities for jazz musicians in the Ashland Schools.

2009 Annual Fund Drive a Success!
The annual fund drive that is just wrapping up has been a great success! General funds raised in 2009 go towards our school grants in the 2009-10 school year. Our goal for the year was to receive $268,000 in donations and pledges, and collect at least $260,000 of those donations and pledges. As of January 10, we have received $265,310 in donations and pledges, and have collected $251,302 towards that total. Pledge payments will continue to come in until late spring as many donors give a monthly donation dedicated to each fund drive. We expect to be very close to collecting the full $260,000 by the time all pledge payments are in!
